Rules - Vacances en mer Contest

The " Vacances en mer " contest (hereinafter the "Contest") is organized by Solem, in collaboration with Annie Malaison, travel consultant, and for Voyages Va-Et-Vient. The Contest will run from June 23, 2023, at 12:01 a.m., Montreal time (hereinafter the "Contest Opening Date"), to September 26, 2023, at 11:59 p.m., Montreal time (hereinafter the "Contest Closing Date").

1. Eligibility requirements

The Contest is open to all persons (hereinafter the "Participants"):

• 1.1 Residents of Quebec and Ontario;
• 1.2. Have reached the age of eighteen (18) by the Contest Opening Date.

In all cases, Solem, its employees, representatives and agents involved in the organization of the Contest, as well as the persons with whom they reside, will be excluded from the Contest.

2. How to enter

No purchase necessary.

Confirm your entry by completing the entry form.

3. Prizes

One overall prize will be awarded in the Contest:

• A travel credit for a 7-day cruise for 2 people aboard the MSC World America, departing May 17, 2025, luggage tags (2), a passport pouch and a Solem gift voucher worth 250 $. The total value of the prize is 2,500 $.
  Only the Participant whose Contest entry has been received by Solem on or before the Contest Closing Date will be eligible to win the prize.

4. Announcement of prize winner

There will be one overall winner. The winner will be a participant whose name is selected following a random draw among all Participants registered for the Contest. The draw will take place on September 27, 2023, at 1 p.m., Montreal time, at Solem, 220 Turgeon Street, Hébertville, Quebec, G8N 1R7.

The winner will be announced in a Facebook post and in our newsletter following the date on which the winner is determined. Solem will also write directly to the winner by e-mail.

5. Prize claims

• 5.1. In order to be declared the winner of the Prize, the Participant must:
• 5.1.1. Meet the eligibility requirements described in these Rules; and
• 5.1.3. Be reached by Solem (e-mail, messaging service, etc.) within seven (7) business days of the Unveiling.
• 5.2. If the selected Participant cannot be reached by telephone or does not respond to the e-mail sent by Solem within seven (7) business days of the Unveiling, then all rights to the Prize will be forfeited and Solem will proceed with a new draw.
• 5.3. When a participant is declared a winner, he or she will receive his or her prize at his or her home address.

Failure to comply with any of the above conditions or any other condition set out in these Rules will result in disqualification of the winner and the prize will be awarded in accordance with article 5.2.

6. Prize conditions

The Prize must be accepted as offered and is not exchangeable, refundable, transferable or convertible to cash. In the event that the Prize is not accepted in accordance with the conditions attached thereto, said Prize shall be deemed forfeited.

7. Personal information

• 7.1. By entering this Contest, all Participants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by Solem and its authorized agents for the purposes of administering this Contest and awarding the Prize.

• 7.3. Participants consent to the use of their: name, e-mail address, address (city, province) and their statements, images, photos or other representations and recordings, through any media and on any medium, including, but not limited to, the Internet, for advertising or promotional purposes and without further notice or compensation, and if applicable, will be required to sign a document to this effect. Participants' personal information will not otherwise be used or disclosed without their respective consent.

8. General Terms and Conditions

• 8.1. Solem reserves the right to disqualify a Participant or cancel his or her participation if he or she participates or attempts to participate in this Contest in a manner that does not comply with these Contest Rules. Any decision by Solem with respect to this aspect of the Contest is final.
• 8.2. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations in Canada.
• 8.3. Entry forms that are incomplete, received after the Contest Closing Date, lost, irregular in any way or sent by any unauthorized method are void and will not be accepted in the draw for the Prize Unveiling.
• 8.4. Solem assumes no responsibility for forms that are received after the Contest Closing Date, that are misdirected, illegible, incomplete, falsified, altered, lost or otherwise irregular or that are transmitted in a manner that does not comply with these Contest Rules, and such forms shall be deemed void. Solem assumes no responsibility for invalid Forms or for any other problem; failure, technical malfunction of a network line, online computer system, peripheral telephone, software, server, supplier, e-mail, browser, Facebook platform, Contest website, error or technical malfunction that may occur, including, without limitation, a problem with the transmission or non-transmission of a Form, regardless of the cause.
• 8.5. Furthermore, Solem is in no way responsible for erroneous or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by the equipment and/or programs associated with or used by the Contest or by any technical or human error that may have occurred during the course of the Contest, including during the processing of the Forms. Solem assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, loss, defect in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, the Forms. Solem is not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from the Contest.
• 8.6. Solem reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or postpone the Contest at any time, without notice, if any factor interferes with the conduct of the Contest.
• 8.7. By entering the Contest, the Participant acknowledges having read and understood these Rules and agrees to be bound by and comply with them. The Participant certifies that the Rules are understandable and reasonably available for consultation.

• 8.9. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (hereinafter the "Régie") for a ruling.
• 8.10. Any litigation respecting the awarding of the Prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
• 8.11 The winner must be available between May 17 and May 24, 2025. Prize does not include medical and cancellation insurance. Round-trip flights. Hotel accommodation before and after the cruise. Land excursions. Personal expenses and gratuities.
