Up to 70% more compact than a traditional cotton towel, the Solem beach towel absorbs two to three times its weight in water, while drying very quickly to prevent unpleasant damp odors. Technical Specifications
Solem beach towels and ponchos are made of suede microfiber. The fabric is woven from a very fine synthetic yarn. This fiber is composed of 80% polyester (50% of which is recycled fiber) and 20% polyamide.
Unlike natural fibers, which tend to be round, our Solem microfiber towels have a more elongated surface, enabling them to store water molecules more easily and dry much faster.
Suede microfiber is soft to the touch, and retains this softness even after repeated use.
Care
Our suede microfiber beach towels, ponchos and waffle microfiber bathroom towels are woven from high-quality fibers. This fabric is very resistant to washing, but we still suggest you follow these few tips:
- Wash in lukewarm or cold water before first use.
- Do not bleach to avoid color fading.
- Tumble dry at low temperature or simply air dry.
- Do not use fabric softener, as it can damage fibers.
- Do not iron.
Microfiber dries very quickly, preventing the growth of odor-causing bacteria. So there's no need to wash your towel or poncho after each use.
Simply hang to dry, and you'll be doing your part to save energy.
Eco-Responsible
Solem is committed to limiting its ecological footprint and impact on the environment. Our supplier uses water-based inks that are biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
Our microfiber beach and bathroom towels, sports towels, dish towels, window and mirror cloths and beauty items are now made from 50% recycled polyester (RPET).
For example, between 13 and 15 plastic bottles are used in the manufacture of a Solem microfiber beach towel. This composition enables us to retain its softness and absorbency properties while complying with Global Recycle Standard certification.
What's more, our bags, shipping boxes and charming storage case are all made from 100% recycled materials.
