Lysanne Richard

High-flying diver | Chicoutimi, Saguenay

She loves sharing her passion for sport. She has written several blogs for RDS, TVA Sports and the Olympic Park, and is a specialized analyst for the Red Bull Cliff Diving programs broadcast on TVA Sport. Lysanne is a true pioneer of high-flying diving in the country: she is the most decorated Canadian athlete in this discipline. The mother of 3 children has received several mentions, including the title of Female Athlete of the Year from FINA, Female Personality of the Year from Plongeon Québec, the Vague Positive Award from Plongeon Canada and the Athlete of the Year from La Voix des Sportifs association in France.

Lysanne never ceases to amaze us with these incredible challenges such as her dive into the Fjord whose video, created in collaboration with Vincent Vallière and Pierre Lavoie, has obtained more than 200,000 views on Facebook. She is also awaiting approval from the Guinness Book of Records for her 22-meter dive into an icy lake in the Chaudière-Appalaches region in the winter of 2021. This same dive is the subject of a documentary which will be released in months to come.

She has just smashed a new Canadian women's height record by diving 26 meters high in early July and is planning another Guinness record with her high-flying hot air balloon dive in conjunction with the International Balloon Festival of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu in August.
